The senate scandal on November 21st,2012, it consisted of senators expensing charges to their expense accounts and getting away with it, for a while. They government eventually caught on and started to question the charges that were appearing, like many first class flights, and out of the ordinary purchases. The senators were Mike Duffy, Mac Harb, Pamella Wallin, and Patrick Brazeau. Thanks to the Auditor General of Canada, this was intervened. In the end, they were all suspended, except for Mac Harb . They Were not given pay and removed most of their benefits. I personally think that they should be removed from the government entirely, because I don't think we should let these people handle our country if they're going to abuse the system. It does not make any sense to me at all. People can be replaced, and I think this would be the selected few that I would want replaced. What they did was inexcusable, and they need to be taken down for it
