The Tsunami in the Philippineshas killed 6,000 people. When Super typhoon Haiyan came in, it started to destory the landscape. Taking down structures and turning them into rubble. Aaron Alexis, a former subcontractor on a Hewlett-Packard Enterprise Services contract supporting the navy marine corps computer network. He showed up in Washington DC and bought a 870 express tactical 12 gauge shotguns and 2 boxes of shells. On Monday, September 16th, Alexis showed up to the Navy Yard in a rented Toyota Prius at 7:53 am. He used a valid pass to get in and assembled his shotgun on the fourth floor bathroom. He hid the shotgun in a bag. He then started on his rampage killing 12 people and wounding 8 others. This act pulled through with minimal effort, and it makes you wonder how safe you really are. There is no easy way to comment on this other than its disgusting, both on his part, and people close to him. He obviously was going through problems, as someone with no problems in his life would not just start shooting people. This wasn't just planned over night, this took time to plan, so this started to bubble up inside of him. I really wish that the people who were closest to him tried to talk to him about what was happening, because of him losing his job. I am placing very little blame on the people closest to him though. I really don't know who to blame other than him. His actions were awful, and devastating. This puts things into perspective, as we don't know how safe we really are.

The senate scandal on November 21st,2012, it consisted of senators expensing  charges to their expense accounts and getting away with it, for a while. They government eventually caught on and started to question the charges that were appearing, like many first class flights, and out of the ordinary purchases. The senators were Mike Duffy, Mac Harb, Pamella Wallin, and Patrick Brazeau. Thanks to the Auditor General of Canada, this was intervened. In the end, they were all suspended, except for Mac Harb . They Were not given pay and removed most of their benefits. I personally think that they should be removed from the government entirely, because I don't think we should let these people handle our country if they're going to abuse the system. It does not make any sense to me at all. People can be replaced, and I think this would be the selected few that I would want replaced. What they did was inexcusable, and they need to be taken down for it

 Mayor Rob ford, Mayor of toronto, has had alot thrown at him latley. Will accusations of him smoking crack cocaine on camera. The video consist of him smoking crack with his drug dealer buddies. Not a good thing to have going on, since you're the mayor, of Toronto.

Man declared dead by judge, even after personally showing up in court.

          Believe me, I know how crazy this sounds, not only crazy but ridiculous at first glance. How he was even declared dead in the first place is beyond me. How do you even do that? Today we talk about the living dead, or what ever this guy is.

          Donald J. Miller was declared dead in 1994, only finding out that he was dead recently, when he tried to get a drivers license. That must have been pretty shocking. "Sorry sir, but you can't get your license, because you're DEAD." So anyways he gets to court, alive and breathing.He even drove there. So Miller has an interesting history. Apparently, he was a "deadbeat" dad, and a alcoholic. After losing his job he dissapeared in the 80's, and we fast forward to 1994, where his child support payments added up to $26,000.

I'm starting to think maybe the wife made up that he was dead, somehow, and got the money that way. Is it ethical, I can't say, is what she did right? I'm leaning towards no, did she need the money to support her kid and herself? Yes, which gives her reason to, despite what happened.
I still don't agree with it, Since there is more than that one way to get yourself in a better state, as he was still alive. Next time, don't 'fake' someones death so you can get benefits, end of story.

America's first Pastafarian Politician sworn in wearing a pasta strainer on his head.

Lets start off with, What is a Pastafarian? A Pastafarian has a god, like most religions. Its Deity is the Flying Spaghetti Monster. While it may seem like they're not serious, they're far from that. Eddie Castillo became first to be allowed to wear a pasta strainer for his divers license photo. In the capitol of florida they have erected a statue in honor of the dark lord. The Pastafarians  have relased plans of a 7 foot tall statue to go next to the ten commandments at Oklahoma's capitol building. I actually agree with this movement. All religions should be accepted, no matter how they appear. If they are a  organized religion they should have the right to put up a statue, long with the currently standing statues.  

Norwegian dog can smell fear?

I know, i'm kind of confused to, or was. Its simple yet it isn't. Tutta has a sensitive nose, like really sensitive.

Apparently humans secrete substances into the skin that this dog, Tutta, can detect. This dog is keeping underage drinkers away from booze, or at least them buying it. Anyways, this pooch has detected around 10,000 fake id's. I couldn't do 1.  Besides the point, I think this could be a big breakthrough in finding fake I.D's and its something that places where they require ids could use. Training these dogs could really provide to this, and set them up at stores, clubs etc. For an example, having one of these dogs at each LCBO across the country to find fake I.D's. It admit-ably would be allot of work, but in the long run, I think it would be successful.

Recently the Vatican got a new pope, Pope Francis. Although in the eyes of many he still has some hate bound views he is probably the best the Vatican has ever had. The popes views are more open instead of the many hate filled closed minded views some of the past popes have been known for. In this article Pope Francis says "Churches are too obsessed with gays, and Abortion". Surprisingly this had very little backlash and was, in a way, He just said it and no one seemed to get upset.

 Pope Francis is one of the most Humble popes ever. Just s very simple man who likes music books and enjoys life. He has a simple throne, the same shoes he had when he was a priest, and he still wears his Priest clothing underneath everything because he wants to remind himself he is still a priest. The message he is saying in this article is that if they don't start to be more accepting and lay off of gays and abortion then everything will fall apart. In my opinion i think hes right and he definitely has a point. The world is becoming more accepting, especially in the western world.
